Advice on latest blood tests
Hi all, Hoping to get some advice on bloods following my latest tests. Just wondered if it's worth increasing the T4 as it's a bit lower since putting on a little bit of weight. I'm happy with my Vit D, B12, Folate and Iron and hence have not included those results. Thanks in advance

RLS in premature Babies
https://www.mdpi.com/2227-9067/11/6/658 An interesting study on RLS/PLMD in premature babies. Low iron is identified as the cause. We know RLS in children is often misdiagnosed as ADHD. It's important to check iron levels in all children with sleep disturbances.

Update 8.2
Good news on the labs today. Since the phlebotomy on March 26 my HCT is staying below target. It actually dropped some more this time to 41.4%. LYMPH and NEUT are at acceptable levels though LYMPH is still low. PLTs are staying in the 200s. On the whole, things are looking good. I have been feeling

Advice after recent blood test results please
I have been taking Levothyroxine for decades but only recently appreciated, after advice from this fabulous website, the correct way to undertake thyroid blood tests. After decades of iron deficiency I had an iron infusion a few months ago (therefore ferritin now high), I inject B12 regularly for Pernicious

Levo increase or not?
Hi Everyone! My most recent TSH and T4 bloods (28/05) showed: TSH - 1.22 T4 - 11.8 I am on 50mcg of levothyroxine. Started 25 for 2 months, then increase to 50 for the past month. I have also been supplementing as directed by advice on here, including addressing my iron deficiency. I haven't retested

Test results
My latest blood tests have just come back. I’d be grateful for comments from the amazing admins please. At the moment I’m not feeling great, my last tests about 8 months ago showed my B12 to be low so I started taking a liquid B12 supplement sublingually. I’m not taking any iron supplements. I take vit

Gingko Biloba - any problem taking it?
I've been taking this to help my brain - but wondered if I shouldn't? Was taking iron tablets until recently when I saw Dr Berg saying it was bad if you had cancer.

followed your advice and saw dr. today
Thanks to everyone who sent me well wishes and information about what was happening to me. My regular doctor came back to work and I saw her today and she prescribed Gabapentin and Hydrocodone 10 mg. Put me on a stronger iron supplement and will do infusion if that doesn't help. So I will wean off

Folic acid and iron
Just finished loading doses for b12 still feel awful. My folate is low so does that mean I need to take folic acid tablets or iron tablets?

Lyme disease
I found out recently I have Lyme disease, that’s why I’ve been deficient in vitamin B12, Vitamin D and Iron. As Lyme makes you deficient in all three! I’m still continuing B12 injections, taking vitamin D and taking heme iron tablets. Thinking of going back on iron/ferritin peptides as they have less

1 1/2yrs of treatment and I’m getting worse again.
Need advice. I’m concerned. I was diagnosed with PA (lack IF via blood test) a year and a half ago. I have been on daily Hydroxo injections since. I started at a high concentrated dose (I’m in US) of 5,000mcg day and dosed it down to 1,750mcg day. I maintained this dose for 6 plus months and still

Sometimes the solution is simple !
Getting through the winter isn’t isn’t easy, is it friends ? This one was a long one and once the spring is on its way my energy levels, enthusiasm and motivation get going and life opens up again. It didn’t happen this year though. Asthma COPD for 21 years….was it all getting to the body ? No energy

Confused about relatives diagnosis and treatment for colon cancer
Grandad is 87, diagnosed with colon cancer at the beginning of the year. Only symptom was rapidly decreasing iron in blood. They said he had stage T4 and that they were going to do an operation to remove the cancer. They did just that last week. Doctors said they had removed the cancer and he was released

Sorry it has been a while with an update on Ruxolitinib
The last time I wrote to you all was about 2/3 years ago when I started Ruxolitinib. The first 6 to 8 months I was a different person, I felt great. I started to swim, (200 lengths in 1.5 hours) then I started to get water infections, one after the other, chest infections, ear infections and shingles

Symprove for digestive issues?
I have read that some people have had help with Symprove. What symptoms would you say it helps with most. I have some IBS like pains, some bloating and nausea and general nerve pain through my abdomen. I have had loads of scans, tests and consults and they all say nothing serious appears to be going

what next?
I thought I’d give you an update on my husband. You guys are very helpful in his reduction in ropinerole last year, he was taking 8 mg a day and is currently down to four but cannot get past 4 mg. Since last he’s been diagnosed with Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia lymphoma, and is currently flaring
