Blood test results
I have Graves' Disease, was diagnosed in April 2022. I started on carbimazole, and by the end of May/beginning of June last year, I was feeling much better. I started to feel unwell again by September (fatigue, breathlessness, cramp in my feet, muscle aches and pains, heavy eyes, gritty eyes ...)

Post 2 - my own bloods - advice please :)
Hi everyone Posted about my dads bloods for feedback but also curious about my own results. I had my levels tested through GP a few weeks ago and they were looking good (tsh around 1, t4 I think around 17). I was therefore surprised to see the following when I got my tests done privately through medichecks

Hi all, My dad has had his levo increased several times last year by private endo. He was on 75mcg and the endo has increased it steadily that now he is on 125mg daily. His most recent bloods (done through medichecks, 9am before any food drink or levo) TSH X 0.21 mIU/L (Range: 0.27 - 4.2) Free T3

Good Morning……. It’s been awhile
👋. Following an acute episode of PTSD at the end of last year I went into January feeling pretty sorry for myself. Then in the middle of January I was diagnosed with a DVT 🤷♀️. So put on blood thinners. Fast forward to last week when I saw my ( long term) GP. I was with her for 40 mins ( end of day

Suspected fibromyalgia with severe endometriosis
Hi all, hope you’ve had a good day (sending extra love if not!) I’ve been suffering with terrible joint pains & stiffness, raised glands, along with chronic fatigue that isn’t helped even if I do manage to get a decent night’s sleep. Blood tests show slight anaemia & slightly low vitamin D, even though

Vitamin D metabolism in cancer: potential feasibility of vitamin D metabolism blocking therapy
New paper below [1]. Vitamin D circulates in the blood as inactive 25-D. The kidneys will convert 25-D to the active hormone 1,25-D, as needed, to maintain circulating calcium levels. Elsewhere, cells that need 1,25-D first produce the enzyme that performs the conversion of 25-D. It is normal for

Seeking more vitamin advice please
After all the great advice after my first post 6 months ago I am looking for confirmation of next steps regarding vitamins. 1) Vitamin D: prior to previous post, I was taking Vitabiotics D3 (1000 IU) daily. My Blue Horizon result last July was 69 nmol/L (adequate!). I started the BetterYou D+K2 spray

Blood tests to monitor while on ADT..etc
Hi, Currently, on ADT, I'm about four months in on Lupron of an 18-month prescription. Trying to do all the right things (diet/exercise.e.tc). I'm meeting with my RO in March, for the 3-month reivew, so I will test PSA and testosterone, but I also wonder if there are any other tests I should consider

Improving T4 to T3 conversion
Hello All I’m trying to see if I can improve my T4 to T3 conversion by improving vitamin intake, my GP won’t increase my Levothyroxine as she said TSH is perfect all tests are normal and has diagnosed my ongoing aching lethargy low mood as fibromyalgia. I’ve started taking Igennus super B complex,

Groundhog Year
Another year passes and the annual blood test causes its usual issues. I did get retested because of an abnormal result serum calcium concentration 2.19 mmol/L (2.20-2.60) They did the test uncuffed and I crept into range. TSH <0.01miu/L (0.49 - 5.23) like this since starting Liothyronine in

Requesting help with vitamin results - thyroid looks OK
Hi all, After a few years of not having much luck getting my GP to do blood tests, they really took the biscuit a few months ago of only testing TSH and free T4 and not testing T3, even Total T3 at all. When I asked about this, the practice said they are not doing blood tests anymore and were outsourcing
