Has others received treatment at MSK, how did they do
I am being referred to MSK for a trial or treatment due to the treatment not working. Liver Mets had increased not decreased, getting a liver biopsy on Monday. The PSA had gone up instead of down, the trial is plivicto so we will see what happens. Since I am over 4 hours away and the only driver I will

New Bone Mets Throughout Skeleton
I had a bone scan done and the results show new bone mets throughout my skeleton. My PSA has been climbing and is currently at 4.66. Looks like the cancer has worked around both the Zoladex and the Abiraterone. Not sure what is next. Apparently the oncologist that was treating me has left for a sabbatical

Does a big drop in PSA a month after the start of hormone treatment possibly represent a higher chance of cure?
Hi all, I have been researching and I have been wondering if big drops in PSA right after hormone treatment should give you more hope at a cure or if this does not change the situation at all? Father PSA of 226 dropped to 3 one month after Firmagon shot, and then 0.3 a month after that, and then 0.13

Qol Sweet Season
This is my QoL life in the north country at 79. Difficult work for about 25 days but get my resistant training and cardio work done by not going to the gym. That old 43 N Ford does its only job once a year and never failed me in the sugarbush. Nice time for friends and family to help out. I will resume

AF and the flu and COVID injections
I have had PAF for some 10 years now and it has always been triggered by an infection of some sort. Each time apart from once I was converted back into sinus rhythm by DC Cardiovsion. This week I went into fast AF again and was again taken to hospital. At the time I was not able to put my finger on

PSA doubled again within three months.
My psa has doubled yet again within three months and lung mets are growing in size, while they have only grown a few millimeters they are still growing. I have had all of the first course of treatment after the prostate was removed and have been on Lupron since 2018, Oncologist has now added Xtandi to

PSA Climbing while on Zoladex and Abiraterone with Prednisone
I have an appointment with Oncologist today. Going to ask if i can switch the prednisone for dexamethasone. Not sure if they will approve it. I was scheduled to start Xgeva. As I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis due to having ADT since 2017. What other treatment should I look forward to having

Xtandi already failing? How is this possible
hi everyone. My dad met with his new oncologist today. He consented to genetic testing so his bloodwork will be sent out in 6 weeks. His new PSA reading came back at 2.84. On February 7th, it was 1.94. He also got another lupron shot today and it’s been over three months since he received one, maybe

Seeking advice on course of action after Decipher Report
My Decipher Report came in and says that my Genomic Risk is High (0.66; 5 year risk of metastasis is 4.1%; 10 year risk of metastasis is 8.5%; and 15 year risk of prostate cancer mortality is 7.0%). I initially thought 7% sounded pretty good, but my RO said no, it's not, and he recommends getting going

When do hot flashes end once ADT is suspended?
I was on ADT (Eligard) quarterly injections from January 2021 to November 2022 (two years). I am still experiencing the side effects of frequent hot flashes, low energy levels, weight gain, etc. I would just like to know when I might expect the hormones to have been "flushed-out" of my system and my

First PSA test and got PSA Free % of 25
Hi. I Just had my frist PSA screening done and got borderline results: PSA: 0.4 PSA Free: 0.1 PSA Free%: 25. Any thoughts on how concerned I should be about the PSA Free% of 25? A little bit of reading tells me PSA Free can be an important indicator of cancer risk and I'm right at the level considered

More decisions!!
Well I saw Dr Pepper yesterday and all much as expected. I've moved to persistent AF and a cardioversion would be pointless. I keep self converting the back to AF. Sob. So options are... Live with it as long as my rate comes down to the 80s, so will be trying Digoxin after my holiday in Norfolk.
