diabetic retinopathy
I had my last screening recently and just had a letter back saying i have background retinopathy. I had gestational diabetes during last two pregnancies and was on insulin three times a day. I am now on metformin twice a day...I do a weekly test at home and my blood sugars are almost always within range

Trying for baby but no periods
Can anyone help? I have been on the pill for almost 20 years... came off it to start trying for a baby... I've had 2 periods in 8 months. I have a history of polycystic ovaries but I'm taking metformin (2 a day for about 2 months now). Any ideas how to boost ovulation??

So glad I met with my consultant
Quite a busy afternoon today, I had a scan to confirm that all was okay after surgery which thankfully it was. I then met with my consultant which I’m really glad about as he was so understanding and even said it was heartbreaking for him watching us suffer so much. We’ve agreed that I’m going to take

Letters to doctor which led to treatment - feel free to copy any parts
Hi all, I said on another post (https://healthunlocked.com/pasoc/posts/136700379/stunned-in-a-good-way) that I'd post the contents of the letter I'd sent my GP when someone asked, just in case it was of any use to anyone else to use bits of. Certainly, a few months ago when I was much more ill I wouldn't

Hycosy test after seeing consultant
Hi, I saw the gynaecology consultant today as we have had all relevant tests etc and we are currently a year and 6 months in to ttc! I went thinking I'd be referred for having my tubes checked and turns out I was right! He has said my options are to start metformin now and he will refer me for Hycosy

Faint positive test
Hi all, It’s been a while since last posted on here. Basically after 5 months of metformin, I missed my first period and now have a very faint pregnancy test when using FMU, but negative during the rest of the day. Just wondering if this is a reliable test, I don’t want to get my hopes but this is

New Type 2 Diagnosis - swollen knees
Hi, I'm newly diagnosed with type 2 and quite shocked as I have been a veggie for many years and never thought I'd the one diagnosed. My reading has dropped from 83 to approx 68 in 3 months after a complete change of my diet. I'm currently suffering with swollen knees with the left being the most swollen
