I recorded a podcast for the Kawasaki’s disease charity, Societi! :)
Hey guys! A few of you may know my story now, had a 2x CABG last year and they diagnosed about a year post op that the heart damage was caused by kawasaki disease. I thought you might want to listen to the podcast - only 14 mins long but it’s part of a series by doctors and other patients/parents (it

Afib during Covid follow up
Two weeks ago, I came down with symptoms of Covid. It was not that bad, and I seem fully recovered. During the first week, I had two separate episodes of Afib. One seemed in response to a burst of coughing while sleeping and waking short of breath, but the other came on for no apparent reason. My cardiologist

Reconstruction after Mastectomy
Happy Holidays!!! I was wondering if there's anyone who's had a mastectomy with reconstruction and regretted it. I'm 43 MBC and there's a mass in tge same breast they've been watching but I think it's time to have the mastectomy as a preventative measure. Anyone willing to share their experiences?

Repeat Lutetium/ Pluvicto treatment
Hello all, I am just curious if anyone has experience doing additional lutetium treatments. I did three lutetium treatments from September 2021 to January 2022. My Denver oncologist is concerned about bone marrow toxicity , but he does not have enough experience with this treatment to say for sure.

heart palpitation from suboxome
Lately due to frequent cold I have to increase Buprenorphine and Naloxone to 1.5 mg sublingually (3 quarters of film (2 mg), then I have experienced horrendous heart palpitation and my heart rate goes down to 42 to 44 /minute. Even when I return to my previous dosage which is 1 mg (half film) sublingually

Merry Christmas Despite Progression
Hello all! Today I’m supposed to be with my family in my hometown but found out Monday I have progression in my spine, ribs, pelvis and liver so spent this week in the hospital getting bone cement injection to repair a compound fracture in my spine and begin radiation. Thankfully I was released yesterday

Covid booster after positive status
I had Covid about two months ago and have read that one should wait six months afterwards to get the latest booster. Does this apply to someone with CLL? Thank you.

Any thoughts please
Hello. After a 5 day stint in hospital for hypercalcemia and kidney stones and a whole host of xrays and scans which have shown nodules on my thyroid, I've now been referred to an endocrine surgeon. Any thoughts on why they've made that referral. I'm new to this and totally confused because of lack

Vitamin A - retinol.
Dr. John Campbell posted a video about how low vitamin A (retinol) levels predispose a person to experience pneumonia from the Mycoplasm pneumoniae which is currently at near epidemic levels among children in northern China. No surprise here to be honest considering the severe lockdowns. Children have

CABG recovery
Evening all, hope everyone is having a good day. Can I ask anyone who has had bypass surgery their experience of the level of pain when you come round ? I hear everything from virtually zero to the worst pain you can experience, some people saying that they wouldnt have gone through with the procedure

Vaccines – at what point do they become a disbenefit?
I need to state out front that I’m not anti vaccination, I believe in the benefits having had several as a kid and now 6 anti COVID doses. But I’m now being bombarded with NHS offers of several different vaccines, COVID, Flu and shingles among them, and it has made me think of possible issues before

Anyone over 65 , carers, care homes, clinical risk groups, can easily book their covid jab via NHS app/ NHS online or by calling 119 therefore many Gp surgeries are not sending reminders. Had mine yesterday got a next day appointment. Feeling a little rough today mind you, but happened the last time I

Post-Clopidogrel symptoms?
It's now 15 months since having an angioplasty and starting on Clopidogrel and other related meds. The Clopidogrel prescription has now been stopped, as expected, on review by the Cardio nurse at my GP practice. I have been off Clopidogrel for 2-3 weeks. However, I am now suddenly experiencing intermittent
