soft, sticky stool which is hard to pass - any advice?
In July this year, I had another colonoscopy (with microscopic
colitis
biopsies) and have recently had a bile acid malabsorption scan. All back ok. Despite avoiding my known food triggers (diary, high fat, eggs, chicken…), eating low fodmap, only drink water etc.

My TSH and T4 are out of sync and I suffer from ulcerative
colitis
. I have been in remission for a long time but 3 days ago I started having problems. I feel so exhausted with it. I am seeing an endocrinologist Wednesday. I can’t believe the cost to go private but I don’t care.

Something going on.
I have over the years been diagnosed with IBS, wheat allergy and microscopic
colitis
, all of which are frequently misdiagnosed coeliac disease. She has gone away to think about it. I think there may be an endoscopy on the horizon.

The initial findings from colonoscopy stated ‘multiple small ulcers’ which biopsy samples were taken from and also noted ‘indistinct vascularity’ which was biopsied too and ‘inflammation of the mucosa’ …. all of these seem to point towards a diagnosis of
Colitis
….. but they needed me to have the CT

Liver Cirrhosis caused by Azathoprine for Ulterative Colitis! Anyone share a similar story xx
I was diagnosed with ulterative
colitis
in 2012 and was put on Azathoprine which worked - happy days. However, recently my blood platelets dropped so I was given an ultrasound of the liver which revealed stiffness of the liver 10.9 and some scarring.

Interesting?
Am currently going through yet another bout of anaemia coupled with another bout of microscopic
colitis
, so as you may imagine even just typing this is pretty difficult. I wondered if anyone else had come across this?

Colin Cancer? Ulcerative Colitis? Chrons?
Dark red blood in stool often Chronic constipation due to MAT treatment but started as substance abuse. Now I'm pooping big white jelly like mucus. The Drs don't help me because I am an ex addict and on MAT they say that is the cause of everything. I've given up in Doctors helping me. About 3 days

Help interpreting results
I’ve also had some symptoms of ulcerative
colitis
including an elevated calprotectin test but still waiting to see gastroenterology about this. It runs in my family but symptoms currently under control.

Can you tell NICE what you think of a draft decision aid for chronic primary pain?
It is different to chronic secondary pain, which the NICE guideline describes as pain that can also be secondary to (caused by) an underlying condition (for example, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative
colitis
, endometriosis).

Pain in right hand
I'm currently tapering from a flare of ulcerative
colitis
. I've managed to get to 11mg and hoping to get to 7.5mg. I was splitting my dose 6am and 2pm but I've got incredible pain in my fingers on my right hand and they swell up and down too. A little swelling in my left hand but no pain.

Cyst on ovary
I recently posted here about pain on my left side after an ulcerative
colitis
flare. I’ve been having this pain since October and was given antibiotics for diverticulitis.

Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy for CKD patients
My mother died at the age of 57 due to ulcerative
colitis
becoming cancer, and so that is another reason. Normally my GFR is around 55, and Kreatin level not in the healthy range, but not excessively so. Is it safe for me with CKD to take the laxatives that will be prescribed to me?

New Way to Get More Iron
I have been diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases in the past years, and because of celiac, and microscopic
colitis
, my nutritional needs have not been met for quite a while. Specifically I was not getting enough iron. I tried all of the varieties, and read about the absorption rates .

Blood In Stool Relief
I found out that I didn’t have a tumor or any polyps, the bleeding is coming from
Colitis
. They took a biopsy to figure out what’s triggering it so they can decide how to treat it. It sucks but I was very relieved to find out what was wrong with me.
