Red-Light Therapy - To Wait, or Not to Wait?
That is the question. I've spent several mornings researching RLT and while I've found a few small clinical trials and descriptions of various kinds of light therapy (see https://www.apdaparkinson.org/article/light-therapy-for-parkinsons-disease/), as well as self-promoting ads by device producers

HRT related
Hello 🌷 Please may I ask how much HRT are ladies on? Last night I accidentally left my old Evorel patch on (1 put a new one on every 3.5 days instead of the 3 day /4 day combo) and put on the new one. I realised it this morning and took the old one off. I guess it was still giving me oestrogen because

Refractory Angina Treatments
After discussing my symptoms he suggested we start with Cognitive
Behavioural
Therapy
, and if that is not effective an injection in the neck called a 'Stellar Ganglion Block' (I think!). He also suggested that I teach myself to meditate.

Hi all! Curious if anyone can advise please- I am fatigued (really struggle at work), brain fog, aches and pains - have been taking HRT for few months but not cured it! Also stable levothyroxine for many years and have Psoriasis although mild. Wondering if I should ask GP for further investigation

Time to PSA Nadir is related to progression-free-survival
This graph from Teoh (2014) plots the relationship between Time to PSA Nadir (months) versus Time to Progression (months) (i.e., Progression Free Survival). Cohort: ADT monotherapy (No RP or RT), all metastatic patients, median 74 y.o., GS = 8-10, N=419. A cubic spline curve fit matched the data points

significant free fluid in pouch of douglas
Hello I have been suffering with terrible pain in my right side lower groin. I described to the Gap that it feels like I am carrying something or a pressure in lower back and at times causes my right thigh to actually go numb. I went to the GP and was referred for an ultrasound for a hernia. No hernia

Using Enzalutamide, Darolutamide, Apalutamide only.
I've seen a number of posters here and there who say they use one of the "mides" listed above with no ADT like Lupron, Eligard, Firmagan, or Orgovyx, etc. If so, did you begin that regimen after being on first level ADT for a while along with the 'mide," or did you start on the "mide" alone at the start

Studies re: PSA > 0.5% after RT
Can anyone interpret the gist of these studies? Correct me if I am wrong (and I sure hope to be) but from what I am gleaning, it seems that for those who have RT and a concurrent round of ADT: 1) Researchers and studies are showing that waiting 18 months to reach a post RT nadir isn't necessary to determine

6 Month Eligard
I got my results from PSA/PET last week, showing no metastatic activity anywhere, bones and lymph nodes clear. My last Gleason score was 4+3 in 1 sample, 3+3 in 2 more same side, but focus of intraductal cancer in 2 cores on other side. Last PSA 5.3 in February, stable between 5.0 and 5.8 last 2 years

pelvic pain and no hrt withdrawal bleed
Hello all, I would be grateful for some advice or reassurance please. I have been on Sequential HRT for 5 years, as started having perimenopause symptoms around then. I have always had a withdrawal bleed once a month. I have found that taking hrt does make me a bit bloated and my tummy a bit uncomfortable

Length of Treatment for Orgovyx (Relugolix) versus Lupron and other Longer Acting ADT drugs as Adjuvant to RT or Used for IADT?
I'm curious if anyone has had any discussion with their MO or Radiation Oncologist about having to take a longer course of Orgovyx compared to Lupron or other longer acting ADT drugs because Testosterone comes back so much quicker on Orgovyx? It would seem to me, 6 months of Orgovyx is like the equivalent

strange thyroid blood results
my wife is subclinical Hypo, been on 1 grain of Thyroid-S for the past couple of years. Started HRT in Aug 2023, blood test done in Dec, numbers had gone down, increase to 2 grain. Last bloodwork done Mar 2024. Numbers gone down again but TSH is now suppressed. I’m completely confused. Any thoughts

microvascular angina result/reading query
Hi all ! I had an angiogram that looked at Micro Vascular issues and had an IMR reading (index of microcirculatory resistance IMR) of 30 - which means a diagnosis of Micro Vascular Angina.. But does anyone know what this means? Is it good or bad? Barely on the charts or well along? I’ve tried googling
