Exercises and do they work
I have just started to get the leg pains especially when walking. I have posted before and had some lovely response. I just wanted to ask if exercises do actually help with pain. I have been doing the group of core, hip and pelvis exercises given to me by physio. Three weeks now and not missed one

Knee massager with red light
Has anyone with osteoarthritis in knees try a personal knee massager with red light instead of knee surgery? If so did it work?

QUICK TAPER; CRP RISING STEADILY; FLARING
As suspected, the very quick taper rheumy thought up (2.5 mg per week til I get to 10, then reducing 1 mg per month), has caused a flare and I'm in pre-PMR pain - almost). Currently at 12 mg but should be down to 9 by now, if I was to go with her guidelines. GP refuses to let me up the pred saying "it's

Alverine and/or Simalvia - (which is alverine citrate with simethicone.) Side effects.
I have recently been put on these. I have found that both the standard alverine citrate, which I had tried first, now the Simalvia, cause feelings of extreme anxiety about an hour after taking the tablet! Weird and not listed in the side effects. So far it seems ineffective on the pain anyway. Would

New diagnosis
Hi there, I got I'll from glandular fever in my late teens and have been given different diagnosis over the years and now I have been told I have rheumatoid arthritis. I'm hopefully going to start sulfasalazine and just wondered has this been successful for people? I've been so fatigued for so long,

PMR - update on doctor call
Hello lovely folks, thank you for your help yesterday. Spoke to the lady doctor this morning and I am happy with how it went. All my results came back normal and the conclusion was that if it wasn't for my PMR, I am in pretty good health for my age. That aside, she said not to change anything with

Pericardial effusion
I had taken Prednisone for about three and a half years for PMR and stopped about four months ago. In December a follow up CT scan for something else showed fluid in the pericardial sac. One of the causes listed for this to occur is an auto immune condition. I have never seen anyone on this forum speak

Recent diagnosis of Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid
Arthritis
in 2021 after nearly two years of
pain
initially in my left wrist and then progressing to both hands and feet. I’m on so many medications and am awaiting the start of my second biologic as Imraldi only helped for 5 months.

New to RA /methotrexate looking for advice.
Been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis a few weeks ago and starting methotrexate tomorrow which I’m starting on 10mg for 2 weeks then 15mg for 2 weeks then 20mg from there, also 5mg of folic acid the other six days and 5mg of prednisone for now but reducing it. Do I need to worry about anything ?

brufen gel and riveroxaban
I’m suffering with
arthritis

pain
in back and hip. GP is referring me to orthopaedics but has suggested brufen gel. I asked if it was okay with riveroxaban and he said yes intermittently. Does anyone here on blood thinners use brufen gel?
