I’ve been prescribed
Amitriptyline
, naproxen, paracetamol, codeine, celecoxib, and now Mirtazapine. I take Laxidol for my bowels and Esomeprazole for my stomach. I also use a hormone pessary for bladder irritation and Zopiclone, when I can beg some. I’m beginning to think I have fibromyalgia.

I’ve been given
amitriptyline
but it’s knocking me out that much, the next day I can’t wake up and don’t feel safe driving to work etc. If anyone of you also suffer from this, what medication do you take for it? Thank you

Thank you for posting.
He prescribed
amitriptyline
, leaving me to increase my dosage in 4 to 6 weeks if the symptoms weren't being controlled.

Where was I?
My speech was virtually unintelligible as I was speaking to the Pharmacist and had been like this since I began the
Amitriptyline
. It wasn’t the ‘slurred’ speech associated with the VM. My jaw, tongue and face were stiff and aching and my larynx wasn’t happy.

People’s experience with amitriptyline?..💛
Can anyone who has tried this as part of their pain relief share their experience with
amitriptyline
please? I have just been prescribed this and hoping it will help with sleep if nothing else.

I have tried 3 previous preventative medication
amitriptyline
(made me very depressed) propranolol (didn't notice a change) and topiramate (made me very confused and forgot basic things like my address - would not recommend this medication!!).

Dienogest side effects
I’ve had severe headaches which don’t help considering the fact that I’m also on
Amitriptyline
for my migraines and it causes agonising pain, I’ve had the nausea that I was warned about and have lost weight from not being hungry and have had the worst mood swings and depression.

edoxaban and topical diclofenic gel?
Before I had my surgery the pain was well managed by meloxicam and
amitriptyline
but then I had my first episode of AFib and they thought it may have been triggered by those drugs. So I was started on the holy grail of Bisoprolol, Edoxaban and Lipitor and told I’d need to mange on paracetamol.

pain!
Paracetamol, naproxen and
amitriptyline
. The Dr also recently prescribed morphine which done absolutely nothing so stopped taking it. He has now trying me on gabapentin which I’ve been on for a week with no difference. My question is is there anything else I could be given?

pain relief - amytriptyline
I spoke to my GP and she prescribed
amitriptyline
and so far it’s been brilliant. The pain isn’t gone completely but it’s made a massive difference to my mobility, especially in the morning. I take 10mg each night.

Help! I'm bringing the neighbourhood down..
I did try 2 years ago to remove it on a day I felt good and the next day I ended up in bed dosed up with
Amitriptyline
, and having to do almost nothing for over a week. The rest of the garden makes me look like the neighborhood slattern.

Any experiences of >90mg doses of Amitriptyline for fibro pain?
I feel like my nerve and joint pain is 'breaking through' the
amitriptyline
. Does anyone have experience of being on more than 90mg a day, and was the increase effective? I'm not sure if I should look to increase or switch.

‘Little evidence’ whether or not most antidepressants work for chronic pain
Last year, I took a fairly low dose of
Amitriptyline
for the effects of shingles - primarily pain. I think it helped a bit - and it definitely seemed to help me sleep. But the side effects were unpleasant. (Tiredness, especially in the morning. Dry mouth.)

Duloxetine - Lack of Motivation
Opiates and NSAID's don't even make a dent in the pain, and I'm very allergic to
Amitriptyline
, so Duloxetine is really the last chance saloon in terms of sourcing medication for pain management, and I have been on 60mg now for about 2 months.
