IMRT CONDENSED -4 Months ADT VS SBRT -4 Months ADT
The other recommending SBRT with 4 months
ADT
.
RO says their is more long term data with IMRT Condensed (20 treatments) than SBRT ... Other RO says get it over with in 5!
1. Anyone take IMRT Condensed , (20 ) visits vs. SBRT ? How and why did you come to that decision?

Adding TurkeyTail (or other Mushrooms) to my current treatment
After I finish chemo (docetaxyl) in May, I might join a medical trial which will compare adding a Parp inhibitor while
ADT
is still working. I have been growing culinary mushrooms at home, and have also been successful with Reishi, LionsMane, Turkeytail as well.

Castrate Resistant Pre-Indicator
I am about 18 months into
ADT
. My medical oncologist recently told me there is a sweet spot to stop
ADT
and I’m wondering if this might be it.

18 Month Update
After 18 months of
ADT
plus Abiraterone and HDR Brachytherapy and EBRT my WBC is within normal limits for the first time since HDR Brachytherapy. My PSA started at 10.28 and decreased 95% the first month of
ADT
and slowly after that with the last 6 months ranging 0.06 to 0.08.

Are there a nomograms or similar tools that would predict recurrence after IMRT/IGRT (without ADT).
In 2015, I underwent 45 sessions of radiation (no
ADT
) for a small amount of 3+3 and even smaller amout of 3+4, with a pre-radiation PSA of 1.7. My PSA has stabilized at .2 for the past two years. Can't find any post radiation predictive models or tools.

Good news or bad news?
Six months into my vacatión from
ADT
(Zoladex), my PSA has risen from point 13 to point 40. Is this reason to celebrate or to be worried? It is obviously rising, but slowly. My hope is to make it to a year with PSA under 2.

Four years of ADT, pros/cons
Four years of Lupron + abiraterone Pros: I'm still alive and castration sensitive, spine met not growing or painful Cons: Zero libido, muscle loss, fat gain, hot flashes, blueberry-size testicles, BP increase, body hair loss... and all the other side effects that many of you are all too familiar with

ADT & Joints
Reading the posts this morning I came across a reply that mentioned joint deterioration as a result of
ADT
. I just came off 24 mo of
ADT
. I've had some major inflammation in my knees the past two weeks. Could this be related to
ADT
- or perhaps an SE of RT to the lymph - or is it just old age?

No
ADT
or surgery. All the bio I have. I have learned so much from this forum I wanted to introduce him too it but thought a different site might be another option? I know there was a link to PC patients with watch and wait, lower gleason, lower burden ..

PSA rising
I’m sure he will be put back on
ADT
but he would like to know where it is before he begins hormone therapy again. We are starting a new farming operation (his partner just retired). It’s scary to take out such a large loan not knowing what he’s dealing with.

Prostate Humor (because sometimes you just need a laugh
I signed up for
ADT
after the Urologist told me that the treatment would leave me impotent. I mean, who doesn’t want to be famous and admired? 2. My MO told me that my prostate cancer treatment might ruin me financially. I’m not sure what he was talking about.

Cross roads
ok, finishing up two years of
ADT
. Uspsa at <.006 Had rp and 40 rounds of IMRT. It was still in bed and lymph nodes prior to radiation. I plan on stopping zytiga, but if Lupron can keep me undetectable and keep it from spreading why stop? I’m sure I’m not the only one to reach this point.

Can anyone comment on Stanford Medicine Health Care second opinion program?
My prostate cancer has returned (or never fully left) after radiation, chemo and
ADT
therapy (which Im still taking). My Gleason scores are 7's compared to 8's and 9's a year ago. Thank you.
