Physical (not behavioural) causes for constipation?
I honestly thought constipation and soiling was in our past but sadly itâs become an issue again for my 7 year old. đ My daughterâs movicol dose has rapidly doubled, weâre back to toilet sits after breakfast and dinner yet sheâs started to soil again, and we just seem to be swinging between big piles

London based audiologists
I am new to this group. I recently had a sudden onset of Tinnitus around 4 weeks ago. A high pitched tone that is constantly present, and as like many others, it is worse in the nights and mornings. Getting out into the drone of traffic etc helps mask it but it returns as soon as I am in a quiet space

Krebs Cycle
Has anyoneâs heard of the Krebs Cycle, also known as the Citric Acid Cycle? Itâs a series of biochemical reactions that happen in the mitochondria and is critical for the formation of energy. Krebs has a book called âThe Principles and Applications of Ozone Therapyâ. The cycle converts NADH to NAD

Colonoscopy
I had a very stressful colonoscopy last Thursday. Stressful in itself but rendered more so by the Practice Nurse who fasttracked me, saying, âGood luck, I hope Iâm wrong.â I defy anyone to not think the worst after that! Anyway, the scope was clear of cancer, or polyps but confirmed what I already knew

Weird ADT Side Effects
I have some of the predicted SEâs of ADT: loss of libido & loss of body hair. My testicles are more like two little peas in a pod now. ED meds are helping in that department. Hair loss has all been below the neck. My sister used to tell me I could win the âharriest legs contestâ! Not anymore!

Bowel inflammation - any link to PMR/GCA?
I have had problems with diarrhoea for several years now. I have had bad reactions in the past to sertraline (antidepressant) and amoxillin, with constant diarrhoea for several months. However my calprotectin levels (measuring gut inflammation) were normal. Since diagnosis I have been getting frequent

Hi everyone I've recently been prescribed this medication due to severe constipation as a side effect of chemotherapy and all the associated drugs that go with it. I already suffer with chronic constipation so I take prucalopride , which now isn't effective alone đ my question is how many sachets do

Opthomology
Is ophthalmology consultation standard with GCA or do you have to demand it ? Everything is blurred now which came on with steroids - saw my usual optician out of concern but only very slight decline in vision and eyes otherwise healthy. I was surprised when he said come back in two years. Been asking

positive occult blood test but no parasites ?
I'm a mid-sixties female with R.A. Constipated until a year ago. Oftentimes in the last year (but not always) my poop looked well-formed but had something that looked like a string coming out the end, up to an inch long. My bowel habits changed a lot a few months ago/much less constipated. A couple

Swollen painful hand
I've had PMR for 2 years. Was started on 40 mg of prednisone. I have slowly gotten down to 13 mg. Recently I tapered to 12 mg but have not felt very well & suddenly my right hand fingers are swollen & very painful. This has never happened before. Is this some kind of flare?

Where does the blood come from?
Hi, I have endometriosis and with it I get bowel symptoms. The most prevalent is pain but I also get cyclical rectal bleeding. I had a colonoscopy and it was all clear they took some biopsies but results i probably wont get this year. I know this is common with endometriosis, but where does the blood

New treatment for Parkinson
Has anybody tried LENs Biofeedback?, it is a relatively new and non invasive therapy to Parkinson to improve parkinson's symptoms like tremors and bradykinesia.
