Olaparib srudy
Today they also offered me a place in a phase 3 double blind study of
abiraterone
with and without the PARP inhibitor Olaparib. I’m thinking it over. My hesitation is that earlier studies reported a “clinically significant” gain in some patients, but they don’t say what that really means.

Which should I take first and WHY ?? Cabazitaxel or Enzalutamide ??
As most of you know by now, I have been through Casodex, Eligard,
Abiraterone
, Docetaxel, Lu-177 and radiation therapy thus far. My remaining options are Cabazitaxel and Enzalutamide. Any idea which should I take first and why ?? Many thanks for any reply anyone may care to give.

Life Expectancy When ADT/Abiraterone stops working?
I have been treated with ADT/Zytiga for 2 1/2 years. (I have posted a summary on line of my disease history.) My PSA remains undetectable but my MO says I should expect a different result in the coming months. What follows next? Reasons to be optimistic? My last full body scan showed two spots of

Speech and Numbness Side Effects of Zytiga and/or Prednisone
90 year old father taking 1000 mg Zytiga (
Abiraterone
) 1 time per day and 5 mg Prednisone 2 times per day. Started these meds on September 17, 2019. The only side effects, which started about one week into the meds., are a numb bottom lip and his speech. He has a hard time talking.

Abiraterone after Docetaxel for mCSPC?
- I see that
Tall Allen
suggested
abiraterone
for golfer1234 with high burden metastatic castrate sensitive prostate CA (mCSPC), following docetaxel. What study is the basis for that recommendation?

Cost Effectiveness of Abiraterone vs Docetaxel in the Treatment of Hormone-Naïve Prostate Cancer
The incremental cost-effectiveness ratio for
abiraterone
versus docetaxel was $1,010,000 per PF-QALY. Sensitivity analysis suggested that
abiraterone
was very unlikely to achieve cost-effectiveness at a willingness-to-pay threshold of $150,000/QALY.

Zytiga resistance and Chemo
A genetic test showed he has a T878A alteration in his AR gene, which I believe means he is mcrpc and resistant to
abiraterone
. His doctor is starting him on taxotere on Sept 29th. I'm wondering if anyone is aware of any cross resistance that may impact the efficacy of chemo?

My Bone Scans
The one on the right was taken after completing chemo, but before starting
Abiraterone
. There's still hot spots in there, but you can see the outline of my body, my kidneys are clearly visible in the back view, and my bladder is brightly shining from my crotch.

Is BAT repeatable?
It should be born in mind that the BAT treatment has so far been shown to be helpful in cases of resistance to
abiraterone
and enzalutamide. Mine is the first “experiment” I know of to use it to manage resistance to bicalutamide. I have not been exposed to abi or enza (or chemo for that matter).
