hello, I have fibro - all the symptons and I’m trying to sort myself out as I’m currently unable to work.
I’ve noticed I have a huge reaction to beer/wine/peanuts/chocolate - my symptons are swollen and puffy (most noticeable in face limbs), odema, PAIN , night sweats, painful skin, pins and needles
what do you think think is? Is it a histamine issue??
is there a way to find out?? (Uk)

Like you I also have fibromyalgia and was getting all the symptoms what you said
I done one of them allergy test to see what Intolerances I had to food and stuff
I couldn’t believe mine came back Red wine Beer even dust the soil in the ground and certain trees
On a very rare good day I would go for a walk in the forest for fresh air but get all the symptoms never thinking I could have a intolerance to things
I’ve eliminated things out of my diet and other stuff now so the swelling and pain it causes as gone down
Mine for instance Red wine it was the red grape Beer the hobs in beer and other stuff
So it might not just be a histamine issue it could be a number of things

I’ve gone through periods in my fibromyalgia journey where I swore I had mcas as well but at the end of the day I don’t think I do (I’ve had allergy testing done and nothing showed up). The body is quite weird with fibromyalgia is all and we can have reactions to a number of things with our immune and central nervous system 🙈 the stress over worrying with it all will do a number on your body and its reactions! Hope you get some answers and peace soon 💓
I get histamine reaction to alchohol and get puffy, I also get redness on my face and neck and chest. I would say the pins and needles is just fibro, I take duloxetine as otherwise my nerve sensation is terrible and wakes me at night with numbness and pins and needles in hands and feet and pain in hips and arms etc. Night sweats I get but thats from Menopause issues, they are different to the normal sweating from fibro and suffering poor temperature regulation. I done an allergy test years ago, I found a few things of interest and am tempted to send one again as I have developed bad guts which I am sure is related to eating wheat products that are rough like shredded wheat, rye bread, other eholewheat breads. I have not been a big bread/cereal lover for many years but weight management dr told me to eat wheat or oats for breakfast. I will stick to oat granola now though!!
