Asthma and hay fever

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well.

I suffer from mild asthma, and my only trigger seems to be tree pollen induced hay fever. My hay fever is at its worst this time of year. This year, my hay fever has been particularly bad so far, which in turn is triggering my asthma. For the last couple of days I'm having to use the blue Salbutamol inhaler 3 or 4 tikes a day. I have a slight wheeze and SOB, and I feel fine for a few hours after 2 puffs on my inhaler. My eyes are red and itchy too. Usually, antihistamines work well for me, but this they don't seem to be working very well.

I have been prescribed a brown preventer inhaler by my GP, which I will start this evening.

My questions are:

Is there anyone else in this group who asthma is only triggered by hay fever?

For those of you who have hay fever and asthma, what treatments work best for you?

I have asthma and hay fever, fortunately my hay fever doesn't start till flower pollen, my daughter reacts to tree pollenI take anti histamine from the chemist, and luckily they work for me. Asthma is bad enough, but when the hay fever kicks in life gets a wee bit miserable
