High blood pressure with asthma

Does anyone with asthma having raised blood pressure my asthma getting worse blood pressure high bottom number over 100 monitoring daily. Thought may be due to steroids. Well hopefully can get it managed I’m sure others may have this, god bless. Got a breathing test today so I can see where I’m at.

I've had asthma my whole life & developed high BP around my early 30s. Whether or not the two are connected, I don't really know. My BP started to rocket again a few years ago (around age 50ish) & I ended up on a lot of medication, along with the steroids it caused various side effects. However, having recently had to retire due to my breathing issues (I have various complications going on) my BP has actually started to drop quite a lot.

I can't honestly say what drives what or causes what problems, but I have a strong suspicion there's some connection.

I’m glad to hear you’re seeing your doctor. High blood pressure is listed as a side effect of oral steroids. Are you taking oral steroids on a regular basis?

Some of the meds can elevate your BP. Mine is labile, but not bad. Ask your doctor how to manage. Everyone's asthma is different and requires tweeking your regimen from time to time.
