Newly diagnosed
I have Giant Cell
Arteritis
, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Hashimoto’s, IBS, Intestitial Cystitis and Reynaud’s. A year ago I had a heart attack. Last week I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Otherwise I am terrific (🤪). My doctor wants me to go on Effexor.

Ateritis, arthritis... how to make friends and family recognise the difference!
I have just been trying to explain GCA to some former work colleagues and been stumped trying to convincingly make the distinction between
arteritis
and arthritis (similar pronunciation, even in French 😏) to those not familiar with our condition.

GCA or Occipital Neauralgia
I’ve seen a rheumatologist three times in the last year Re:Temporal
Arteritis
. I’ve had a biopsy which came back negative, because previously my doctor prescribed steroids for inflammation and head pain. Rheumatologist prescribed 50mg of prednisone after a while to be gradually reduced.

MGUS and PMR/GCA
In that study, history of giant cell
arteritis
, polymyalgia rheumatica and rheumatoid arthritis was associated with a significantly increased risk of MGUS [91]. " https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4900299/

Thank you
I've been told it's Giant Cell
Arteritis
, Vasculitis, Aortitis, depending on who I've seen in Rheumatology.

Increasing Prednisone to 40 mg?
I have come across Takayasu
arteritis
as a possible diagnosis. I value your thoughts and opinions. Thank you for being there.

Tired of all of this
Have Giant Cell
Arteritis
, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, MGUS, and possibly MGRS. They just listen to my heartbeat and tell me I am fine. I know my heart is involved in all of this, but no one will listen to me.

Feature on Temporal Arteritis in 'Woman's Weekly' magazine.
Just wanted to say that I've just read a health article in this weeks 'Woman's Weekly' magazine, headed 'Coping With Temporal
Arteritis
'. I was all prepared to be quite scathing about it's content, but perhaps our message is getting through!!

Afib, inflammation and NSAIDs
I have Afib, polymyalgia, giant cell
arteritis
, bursitis, arthritis, spondylitis, tendonitis, IBS etc. Is there a connection between Afib and inflammation? I am unable to take NSAIDs due to being on edoxaban. Since being on DOACs my inflammation has got worse.

My then consultant was very unpleasant , PALS stepped in and I had anew consultant . I have seen her once , she politely
