Little bit of hope for hair loss sufferers
Hi all, I know everyone is different but after following this group for 2 years and having some helpful advice I wanted to post an update which may help others. I have been suffering with hair loss for 21 months and lost allot of hair ( over 200 a day). I have had all the blood work under the sun

Does topical retinoic acid effect the thyroid??
I believe that 25 years of daily topical Retin a has had an effect on my ability to convert t4 to active t3 based on my blood work. I do not have an autoimmune disorder. Wondering if it has something to do with retinol binding receptors and thyroid receptors?? Any ideas!????

Hair Loss if hypothyroid?
There have been a number of posts of members complaining of thinning hair or hair loss altogether. I came across this link which is informative and could be helpful. I think I'd get a blood test first to see if we have a zinc deficiency because we may not, so no point in supplementing. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

nature throid ineffective
Hi all-Curious if anyone else has had problems with nature throid (1 grain) this past year. I did seem to do better on armour but they are supposed to be the same. Could just be me but my tsh went up, t3 went down after being stable for several months. Tried Tirosint 112 mcg recently and gained 5 pounds

is probably hormone related.

Third time with BC after original diagnosis in 2004. Recurrence 2014. Now.it is stage 4 diagnosis in June 2018 into sacrum. Tolerating Ibrance and AI well. But I’ve developed bald spot on right top scalp. First noticed scalp bumps. Now it’s size of quarter. Dermatologist took biopsy last week. Scared

Hair loss
I’ve been on zoladex & HRT for nearly a year now waiting for my full hysterectomy & bowel resection. I’ve noticed hair loss for a while but my hair has become very dry/brittle (I previously had to wash my hair daily due to greasiness) and a nightmare to brush. I don’t have any bold patches it’s more

side effects from nature thyroid
Just curious if anyone else has severe tinnitus and hair loss from this medication. I'm on one grain and my levels look good. More hair loss on this compared to Tirosint same equivalent dosage. Also fatigue in the afternoon, falling asleep trying to watch anything on the TV by 8:00. TSH is 1.70 and my

Hi People, Could you tell be how the thyroid testing is affected by Biotin and levothyroxine. I forgot to stop taking Biotin and I took my Levothyroxine at 4am on the morning of my bloodtest. How is the TSH affected - up or down?

Thank you LA and everyone, but...
I'm losing my hair from stress
alopecia
which adds to my sadness. So, I've retreated from the world. I'm so sorry. The loss of Madeline hit me hard as we used to email each other, mostly talking bowels. Love to you all and please forgive my absence. Kryssy xxx
