Hi I was diagnosed with Asthma 4 years ago, now I am told All my breathlessness and tight chestedness is probably down to Vocal Cord Dysfunction ( VDC) , and I may not have Asthma at all as VDC is often mistaken for Asthma, although the the two may be present at the same time. Has anyone else been given

My sister's asthma
My sister has been doing well lately but this week she is having trouble breathing. She has been to Drs. Saw the asthma nurse. Told her chest was clear but she might have a chest infection. Given more steroids and antibiotics. Her peak flow was 300 which is low for her as she usually does better than

W1 complete but it didn’t get easier...
I’ve just done w1r3 and I don’t feel like I’ve improved. I’ll give w2r1 a bash on Friday but just wondering if anyone else repeated w1. I do have asthma so not sure if I’m confusing asthma breathlessness with being unfit breathlessness!

Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience & can advise how I can support my boyfriend. He’s had very well controlled asthma all his life but has recently gone through a stage of having regular severe asthma attacks & lack of control. His medicine has been increased but he’s still

Eosinophilic Asthma?
Hi, I’m looking for some advice! My name is Emma, I’m 27 and I have had asthma since I was 2 years old. I was hospitalised quite a few times as a child but then I seemed to grow out of it through my teen years into my twenties. However, when I turned 25/had my daughter, my asthma seemed to come back.

Getting back to a healthier life
I've had several hospital admissions this past year with my asthma and it is becoming increasingly hard to control despite being on what my asthma nurse describes as maximum therapy. I've noticed a significant weight gain of approximately two stone due to being unable to be active and of course this

Things not to say to asthmatics
Following on from the Asthma Myths post, another good pair of posts from this site. Think it's American but these are fairly universal (though personally I don't do the throat clearing thing). https://asthma.net/living/10-things-not-to-say-to-someone-living-with-asthma/ https://asthma.net/living/ten-more-things-not-to-say-to-someone-living-with-asthma

Bowel re section
I had an appointment yesterday with the specialist endo nurse who has suggested i have a vaginal scan to see if the endo on my bowel has grown more because of my increasing symptoms. She then said if it has then bowel resection is an option but will require me to hace a stoma. Has anyone had this x

Week Six Complete but struggling with Asthma. Anyone else?
I’ve been reading posts here and there but decided to post today after completing week six and my first 25 minute run. I feel like I’m legitimately running now and can do 10 minutes easy which is amazing. However beyond 10 minutes and my asthma kicks in and my chest hurts. I had the worst attack since
