I would like to know how women using a pessary handle their sex life. Do you remove the pessary or are you able to leave it in like using a diaphragm? I read and watched videos by therapist stating there are only certain positions if you have prolapse, I would like real first hand information, of course, if you are comfortable sharing. I'd really appreciate the help.

Women with POP...have questions
HI h8this, I had ring pessary with support for bout 9mnth was fine till i got ulceration &bleeding vaginal wall, pessary was removed & healed up fine. No problem with sex with the pessary, not sure why you have Gelhorn? Gyny asked if I was sexually active n ruled Gelhorn out.
I wear EVB shorts specially designed by an enginer and committed runner with prolapse- they are a godsend (quite pricy but absolutely worth it for the support) I was recommended them by physio.
I also started using a natural sea sponge pessary, altho I was grateful for the original pessary doing the job, I didn't like it being insitu when support wasn't needed, like when lying down at night. I also drink raspberry leaf tea & prunes are a must every day.....keep megoing😉constipations last thing you want.... specially when your feeling low. 😂
