I've just done a quick Google search on the correlation between weight loss and sleep, and most of the sites I glanced at say that good sleep will help you lose weight, and not sleeping will make weight loss difficult. I know that doesn't help you now, but perhaps you can focus on your sleep habits and the weight loss may come easier too.
Do you exercise? I believe exercising helps with sleep. Do you meditate? What's really on your mind when you're trying to sleep? There are all sorts of ways you can focus on your sleep. As I mentioned exercise, and I've also had success with tapping and meditation techniques.
