I have an ankle that gives way when least expected would this improve with running?

Hi! I would focus on walking regularly, including up hill and up stairs and escalators to strengthen the ankle before starting running. You could also try some simple ankle strengthening exercises. When you do decide to start running, make sure your route is flat and they're are no bumps etc...Good luck.
