Hi all. I try to watch my weight . I have a disability which makes walking difficult. However I went for a mental health wellbeing appointment at the doctors. I got weighed and i was amazed I was a stone lighter than i though. I have mechanical older scales at home which show 14 stone . I was actually 12 stone 13 lb at the doctors I feel ill go with the Doctors scales because they collaborate them yearly. It was a nice surprise I still can't believe it.

Doctors Scales
Hi logic99 and welcome to our weight loss support community. Scales can be fickle at the best of times. You don't mention how many times a year/month you go to your doctor's, I prefer to check my weight once a week. Could you 'invest' in a modern set? Or take some measurements, waist, hips bust and check those instead of weighing.
This is the link to our pinned posts where you'll find everything that we have to offer. The Daily Diary and Weekly Weigh in are good places to begin.

I would address the exercise issue with the Doctor . Ask what is possible. The classic chair or on the bed exercises but these have to be done properly. Could you get any advice on focused physio or hydrotherapy which has really benefited my neighbour. She can’t walk far and was anxious about her independence. I think most Doctors would have something. I don’t think many ask patients ask about alternatives . Enquire about the NHS Paris scheme . Mine was in a council gym after surgery but surely there has got to be other solutions and sources as preventative medicine / options seem to be discussed more now .
Hahaha, what a wonderful surprise, especially as you will have been fully dressed instead of in the buff at home!
