You seem to have the same issues as me . Have an event , couple of meals out -on piles a few pounds . So I don’t do snacks as my body gets used to them . The way I do serious is 3 meals a day and nothing after my evening meal . Snacks - looks like hummus and cucumber -a pleasant alternative to a sweet biscuit or crisps but personally I can’t do this or else I think even simple calorie wise as an example - say 150 more calories every day and bang goes most of the effort I have put into a daily walk .
I started - 80kg after having long awaited surgery for hiatus hernia - Jan 2018 . Warned to address weight and at 5ft 1 - it was obvious . Had a liquid diet post surgery for 4 weeks . Weight dropped off to 72kg then lost another 10kg via the NHS Paris scheme which involved discounted gym membership and advice from a trainer . Started Zumba x 3 per week and step classes . Finally 62kg . Put house up for sale , Covid , didn't rejoin gym , had a few All Inclusive holidays etc . Weight kind of jumped . Maintained at 64 then crept to 66 , 68 and like you - now round 70.4 - 9 after instantly getting rid of 2kg after a walking but eating week abroad mid Oct .
I feel the weight is hard to shift . I have to eat something . I am mindful . I have banned alcohol . Now on Zumba via You Tube which kind of gives me a psychological boost of - you are doing something but inside I feel fat , told I don't look fat but get on those scales and the camera doesn't lie . I am 64 and trying .
