2 yrs. ago I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. I prefere not to use my name. Gloworm is my YouTube & Google username (joke, has to do with rad treatments). Underwent Modified Mastectomy (R. breast & 10 lymph nodes under R. arm removed (username used to be OneLump 21) I'm through with primary treatments & doing maintenance now: started with Aromasin, but after a while, cells showed up in spine (L3 & T5) with a small fracture in L3 (turned out to be a Smorel's Node according to a neurologist. He perscribed PT rather than surgery). Onc is a wonderful lady. Put me on Ibrance 3 months ago. YouTube has been my salvation. It's kept me laughing & smiling (you gotta try Irving's Zoo), but in Feb. my MLOA 52 weeks ran out & I was told I had to arrange to come back to work even though I'm on a rollator my body really wasn't & isn't ready to handle it, so I called my human resources head, made arrangements, asked if I could come back part time (I put in for SSDI almost immediately after diagnosis) & they said yes. I only work 28 hrs. now & have been put on night shift til closing time, but because I healthwise can't do full time (48 hr.) or 38 hours (still part time) I've lost a lot of my Walmart medical coverage & have higher deductable now & more out-of-pocket. I'll be recieving Medicare in April I'm told. Don't know what THAT will cover. Also getting Xzyva shots once a month to treat cells that showd up in abdomen on latest CT & MRI. Dear freind who is elderly (just turned 77) had to go on Oxyen permanently for late stage emphysema & is housebound on Hospice Home Healthcare, but nurses & Social Worker only come out so many days, so I do what I can (try to visit every day, pick up meds / groceries, et.) Fighting fatigue more often than not. Rarely hungry, but try to eat healthy when I do eat. After radiation treatments, I went from 145lbs. to <> 192 - 198lbs. Alsp have developed Edema in R. arm & spent a lot of paychek getting a compression sleeve. Have 2 artificial hip joints that wore out. One has had revision surgery, but having to wait on other hip, meanwhile, it's started to grind, so I do as little walking as I can get away with. I just take one day at a time & don't even think about the future or the past or I'm liable to fall into depression. 😃🤣🤣🤣🤣😉 Keep smiling & laughing!

Thank you for sharing your situation. You are going through so much, but you still manage to find some positive way of coping with all it.

Whatever the situation we still have to eat and what we choose to it can make our live either better or worse eventually, so it is always worth exploring what we can do in order to improve our health.

And then taking one day at a time is also helpful :)
