Morning!

I have been lurking and not entering my weight each week. I’m going to try and be more dedicated!

Start weight 92kg

Last week 89.8kg

Today’s weight 91.8kg (+2kg)

Goal (eventually) 70kg

Short term goal - to fit back in a couple of my summer dresses that I wore when my weight came back up from the last weight loss mission.

I’ve just got back from an all inclusive week in the canaries with the family last night so I can live with +2kg. As the week went on I felt pretty yak and I’m relieved to be getting back to my normal eating habits. We’ve already decided we will self cater next time!

I listened to the audiobook of The Obesity Code while I was away, which had convinced me to carry on with not counting calories, points, syns or anything else anymore. I’m going to stick to time restricted eating, with eating a whole food, healthy diet as reasonably possible, paying attention to decreasing my refined carbs during my eating hours (and keep trying bits of fermented foods). It was working before the holiday and is hopefully he right choice for my metabolic, insulin resistant type body. Hopefully that holiday gain will come off quickly!

The most important thing to do is to get what you eat right and everything will follow from that. If you get the diet right you could improve your health in three weeks or less. The weight could take six weeks to reduce if you do not reduce your calorie intake (which is very difficult to sustain long term). Cutting out the bad foods is more ipmortant than adding in good foods. I have a BMI of around 21 but eat like a horse because I eat the right things, and because I don't eat the bad things I have no impulse to snack.
