Had been on NHS weight loss program successfully since 01/03/2021 losing 2 stones. When should I weigh myself again?Appreciate replies had not drank any alcohol since March 1st but drank for 14days totalling 40pints and all the associated crisps, peanuts.Ice cream cakes etc.Stopping all today.

Help usually weigh myself religiously on Sunday am.Thinking of leaving it for 14days and returning to my previous good habits.

Hello 1420 and a big well done on losing 2 stone so far, although you have had 14 days considerably 'off plan', my advice would be to weigh in on a Sunday am as you would have done. See what the damage is and get back on it straight away.In my experience 'leaving it a bit' lends itself to a few more pounds gained and a back to square one.

you'll probably find the damage isn't quite as bad as you fear!!

Wishing you the best of luck!

Thanks siggie. I think I will bite the bullet and weigh myself tomorrow and assess the damagesooner rather than later.I have gone back to No

alcohol and sugary foods so far today.Hopefully I can turn this Calorific Binge around in 14days by cutting out all treats as previously done successfully.

It’s amazing how you can be diligent for 4 months then do this to yourself.I did continue to keep my 10k steps a day throughout which may help my cause.

Why not join the Saturday superstars weigh in? It's open now and you will get lots of support. The best thing is to put the last few days behind you and start afresh. Whatever you were doing has worked as you have lost 2 stone so pop in and post your start weight and get back on track and keep coming back to let us know how you are doing.

There is also a drinkless thread which you might find useful.

Hope to see you on the weigh in

Great. There is a weigh in every day so join whichever day suits you. I'm sure the Sunday Slimmers will welcome you.

Welcome to the Sunday Slimmers if you join in today and also the best advice is you just have to keep going. You can't change the past only learn from it. So the next time it may happen think of what is triggering it and address it straight away. Good luck

Well done on losing the 2 stone ! I would bite the bullet and weigh in straight away and draw a line under it, was it a holiday? :-) x

Well done for drawing a line and starting again. Whilst I agree with everyone above I do have one caveat. Weighing tomorrow as usual is something I would do because I know however good or bad the numbers are it would not stop me from getting back on course but there are some people it would adversely affect. So as long as you can deal with any fallout from your spree (which may not be that much) go ahead, otherwise I would get in a few good days first.

I understand AnnieW55 about a adverse reaction as I could be one of those people. When I get a week when I put on weight even 1lb I get annoyed with myself but after reading the threads we should refrain from Beating Ourselves up as this could result in a full blown disaster.

On Reflection thanks everyone it’s probably best for me to weigh in next Sunday giving me a sporting chance to Limit Damage to myself Physically and Psychologically,by getting in the ZONE.

Thanks Lytham,I am trying to protect myself by not been too miserable for the next week.I will definitely weigh in next Sunday by which time myhard work this coming week will buffer my original weight loss total and I should have less to lose from it.

sounds like a good plan 1420 and I agree with AnnieW55 about it being personal as to when to weigh in after slipping off plan for a while. Holidays do tend to bring on the party spirit and it can be hard to resist temptation we would usually not go near to protect our weight loss. Remember that, you haven't undone all your good work-just halted it and that you are getting back on track now. Good luck this week 👍

Hello 1420, if I know I have gained then I weigh myself ‘fat’ i’d rather be up by a lot than a little. So I drink lots of water wear heavy clothes and then weigh myself. My thinking is even though I've gained it's not nearly as bad as the scales say. It works for me turns a negative into a positive.

Well done on loosing 2 stone. The holidays behind you now so bite the bullet and get weigh3d to see the damage....may not be as bad as you think and if a lot you know how hard you have to work. You don't have to post it just see for yourself and good luck getting back on track
