Slimming pill?

Hi all, I’ve recently been diagnosed with Fibro and I am seriously overweight! I ha d tried most diets with no luck. I struggle to exercise as I also have lower back disc problems. My GP has mentioned taking Olistat, has anyone tried this? Does it work? And most importantly are there any side effects? I’d be grateful for any advice

Hi Chunky6 and welcome to this amazing forum. This is a peer to peer support forum for successful weight loss. We are not medically qualified so I'm sorry but we can't advise you about "Olistat".

Many of our members have lost a significant amount of weight just by changing what they eat and the way it's eaten.

Obviously it would be lovely if we could all exercise enough to lose weight. I for one can't, I've managed to lose weight by avoiding obvious carbs.

I suggest you spend some time clicking about to find your way around. It's easier if you have a lap-top as there are several threads. If you’re using another device I strongly suggest that you use the web page as opposed to the app at least until you know your way around.

Have a good read of the pinned post “Welcome Newbies” and follow every thread.

Here’s the link for the “Tour” of the forum. If you haven’t already taken it.

I strongly suggest you read and contribute to the Daily Diary and participate in a Weekly Weigh in.

You will find there's loads of tips about better eating, from other members. Sharing your daily menu not only helps you stay committed, it can help other members too.

Good luck I hope to "see " you around.

Yes I’ve tried them and it wasn’t very pleasant at all.... you’ve only got to go over a tiny bit with your fat intake and you will be on the toilet leaking yellow oil and sometimes you can have an accident it’s very embarrassing also they are known to cause gallstones i was getting pains so came straight off them, really not worth it just eat healthy and the weight will gradually come off... I’m doing calorie counting but there’s all sorts of plans to follow... good luck

Oh no, that sounds awful! I’m staring to calorie count and try and change my relationship with food long term instead of a quick fix. Thank you for taking the time to reply x
