Eeek?? Put on a pound???

Hi, I have just finished my first week of the nhs 12 week plan. A day early I had to weigh as the app is Monday to Sunday. I checked my BMI and they gave me the calories I need to be eating. Usually I starve myself so was quite surprised at how many calories I could have. I have put on a pound!!!. Should I wait another week as my body might be in shock or should I reduce my calories this week? Thank you ☺️

1 pound, weight can fluctuate sometimes, just keep going, you will get there..

Thank you Jimton, I just really need to lose weight, that’s how I arrived at the nhs app after trying so many different diets! I really need it to work 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Your body will fight the weightloss at times, but if you keep consistent and keep going you should be OK.

Stick to the plan.

Hi Dreamer3, it can take a while before your body settles down, so I would just continue as you are for a while and be patient. You can have a look at what you're eating, as well as how much and our daily diary could help you with that.

I advise you to join our Monday weigh-in, as the Monday Mass Movers are super supportive and will keep you on track.

Thank you, I thought maybe that, but I am not very patient!. I am going to up my exercise goals and eat healthily this week and hopefully see a change next week, I really need to do this, I’m so down.I will take a look at the Monday Mass Movers group, thank you 😊

I hope we'll see you on the Daily Diary too, it's very popular and really helpful :)

Id carry on but change things up. Im an expert at giving tips i just dont seem to be able to practice my own knowledge! If you think youre eating much of the same foods, try mixing it up. Are you drinking enough fluids? Do you need new scales? Good luck and keep at it 😊

Disappointing for you but perhaps think of longer term goal. I started in November and haven't lost weight but feel much healthier now and energised. I am confident pounds will start to come off as my healthier eating continues.
