Weekend Sabotage

Morning, first time posting. I’m really good watching what I eat through the week, then undo it all at the weekend. Anyone else do the same? So I’ve decided I’m giving alcohol up for a few weeks to see where it gets me. Hopefully no alcohol, no binge eating when I’m not hungry

Hello AWarburton and welcome to the weight loss forum. Please have a good read of the Pinned Post “Welcome Newbies”. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

This is a very large community with lots going on. May I suggest you use the webpage as opposed to the app at least until you know your way around. Take your time and follow every thread so that you know exactly what’s going on.

Here’s the link for a “Tour” of the forum ,if you haven’t already taken it.

If you are following the NHS plan please check your BMI on the NHS site and obtain the correct amount of calories for you.

The Daily Diary and the Weekly Weigh ins are very good places to begin. You will find the DD and WI in the Pinned Posts under “Events”

I find the Daily Diary a very good place to share my plans and get inspiration from other members, too. Once the day’s food is written down I’m far more likely to stay on track.

After reading you post, cry for help I'm just wondering if you're eating enough. You mention that you're "watching what you eat" during the week, but you don't mention which,if any, plan you are following.

The key to success is participation, we are all on the same journey.

If you can’t find something just shout, there’s usually someone around.

I hope to “see” you around, Good Luck.🍀😉

I wonder if being "good" means being over-restrictive, so you're ready to go silly at the weekend.

If you follow the link Tabby has given you to Pinned Posts, you'll find the Daily Diary: join in there to share your meal plans and see what others are eating. Then scroll down to find the DrinkLess Club. It's a monthly post and there will be a new one on Monday

It's quite possible to be a bit more relaxed at the weekend. The trick is that whatever you are going to eat plan it. The daily diary is good for that. You plan your meals, tell everyone and then you're more likely to stick to them. And if one or two days involve more snacks or some chips or whatever else no-one will mind, we will just applaud the fact that you're managing what you're eating. And the fact that you're in control is the important part.

And that way you don't talk yourself into thinking you've "failed" or anything like that. It's just your personal eating plan. We all have one.
