Hi, this is my first weigh-in post. I was recently on four rounds of Prednisone and my weight, which was way too high to begin with, skyrocketed to 212 lb, so that's my starting point:

Start weight -

212 lb

Last week's weight (or date of last weigh-in) -

206 lb

Weight today -

210 lb

Loss/Gain/STS -

4 lb gain

Total loss - (4 lb)

My goal is to get down to135 lb. So I've got my work cut out for me. For exercise I'm doing dance classes with YouTube and the exercises my physical therapist gave me. Wish me luck and self-discipline.

Hello j-b, you've created a new post on the forum rather than joining the weigh in, which I think you wanted to do.

This explains how to post on the weigh in healthunlocked.com/weight-l... The key thing to remember is DON'T click on Write and DO write in the box that says Reply to ...

And always use the website rather than the app.

Having said that, have you had time to follow up the links moreless gave you when you joined? Anything useful there? The Daily Diary is a good place for sharing your meal plans and seeing what others are up to :)

Hello and welcome back to the forum, Eliz22 :)

You'll find everything you need by following this link to Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l... I recommend joining a weekly weigh in and using the Daily Diary as a good place to start.

You can take a tour of the forum here healthunlocked.com/?tour=true

You'll have difficulty finding your way around if you use the app, so it's always best to use the website. Join in as much as you can, to get the most out of the forum :)

Thanks for sharing your experience with me. So far I have just grit my teeth and gotten through the number of days the Prednisone was prescribed for. But I definitely don't like it, which I have expressed to my doctor.

Hey jeanette. Prednisone is the devil we need. I’ve had a few rounds over the last ten years. And it’s horrible. Your doing the right thing by exercising. The weight I gained was over night. (It seemed) but took a few years to come off slowly. (I wanted it to stay off). My best advice is do it slowly and do classes etc you enjoy. I’m now a qualified pt with qualifications in medical conditions and disabilities. Of the back of my own struggles. The hardest thing I found was to ignore the scales. Top tip. Take a Photo or measure you waist , hips, thighs arms and chest. You will see the inches drop even when the scales don’t. Good luck and if you want any advice or help. Give me a shout .

Thanks for the good advice. I will do my best not to let the scale get the better of me.
