Hi all, this is my first post & Day 1 of my weight loss journey. Am feeling a bit overwhelmed & not really sure where/how to start. There is just so much information & resources, which is great, but I don't know what to start with first. x

Hello, I only started last week, but tried my hardest to keep as close to 1400 calories a day and continued with couch to 5k (final week- 9) and was so pleased to finally see the scales finally go down this morning. Just take it daily. I make a note of everything that goes past my lips and roughly work out how many calories I can go up to for each meal. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon snack. I spread things out. Fruit in afternoon. Yogurt later in the evening and lots of water during the day. Keep busy too. Good luck, once you get going & work out a way of how you’re going to do it, that’s the hardest part, you’ll be fine. 👍🏻

Be aware that 1400 calories is a generic amount, unsuitable for most of us, Scruffyhair. Put your details into the NHS BMI calculator for a more tailored range nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we...
