Quick recipe:

Cut ๐Ÿ† in half, score the flesh each half in criss-cross pattern, taking care not to cut the skin.

Put it cut side down in an oiled pan, cook for 5 minutes. Flip, and cook for 5 more minutes.

If your frypan isn't oven proof, transfer to an over proof dish.

Brush tops with a mix of miso paste, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, tomato paste, chopped ginger (this mix is up to you. Miso is required, everything else is your imagination. Add sugar or honey for more caramelisation.)

Put under a hot grill until nicely coloured.

Iโ€™m not sure that using the eggplant/aubergine emoji removes all controversy ๐Ÿ˜‚. If you are easily shocked do NOT Google further.
