Hello and a very warm welcome to the Weight Loss Forum Tray58

You sound like I was 5 years ago, but a lot of the knowledge has been challenged. Firstly, it’s essential to have enough to eat. If you are following the NHS 12 Week plan then the 1400/1900 calorie target suggested is a just generic amount, please check your own personal calorie target using the BMI checker, it’s often higher than you think. We always advise starting towards the top of the range, being hungry is the biggest cause of weight loss failure.

What you eat is also important. Fat is no longer believed to be the bad guy, it’s an essential nutrient and essential for satiety. Please read this for a more detailed explanation

And lastly, exercise rarely leads weight loss, it far more important to eat properly

If you haven’t already then please read your welcome message and follow the link to Pinned Posts here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... please read it carefully so you can find all the information you need to find your way around.

As a peer to peer support group we rely heavily upon mutual encouragement. Nothing beats joining in, reading posts and replying to others. Our Group Weigh-in and the Daily Diary are probably the best places to start

Best wishes in your weight loss journey

Indigo 😊
