So im loosing weight for about 5 months now. Down from 98kg to 82kg. No problem in that front but im interested in this sack of fat. I just noticed how much it hangs. As i understand it's because the skin on belly was stretch out a lot in a small amount of time when i became fat. So my question is : will this sack disappear if i lose more weight or if just need to wait for the skin to shrink down or something ? Any advance on the matter ?

Hey there!

I've lost some weight and I have the same thing.

I've done some reading around this and it seems that hydration, moisturisation, good protein intake and toning are the only things that might improve it or prevent it worsening. That, and ensuring you don't drop weight too quickly so your body has time to adjust.

Proteins are used to build collagen that keeps skin supple. Toning and building lean muscle in that area may stretch out the loose skin slightly to improve it's appearance.

Ultimately I don't have the answer, and I'm wondering myself if my 'sack' will shrink down at all, but I don't think there's a quick fix.

You're doing amazing though, keep it up :)

Wish I had the answer but I’ve decided for myself that I would rather be healthy & flappy than fat and unfit! .... it helps mentally to think like that :) 💪

It's difficult and age comes into it - I've resigned myself to having a floppy belly without the fat inside but you may be able to help reduce it thru exercise .... ?
