I've tried a lot of methods for losing weight over the years, and unfortunately not much has stuck. So have found and joined you guys here, and plan on walking through the NHS 12 week plan and try my best to stick to that. It's my wife that found it actually, she's had enough, especially with me almost eating us out of house and home this Christmas!
So I'm hopeful that spending time here as well as following the 12 week plan will help my break out of my overeating lifestyle.

Good luck. The nhs 12 week plan works. This year I have lost over 2 1/2 stones by making small changes each week. Also read info from the British Heart Foundation on lowering cholesterol and increasing your heart health. Eat home cooked, mostly unprocessed foods from all food groups. You will soon start to be more in control, healthier and motivated to get to a healthy weight. You can do this!
If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.
Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
