Day 1

Day one of my journey to health. Going through the menopause, on HRT and have gained nearly two stone in six months! Had a good Christmas and build up to Christmas, eating what I wanted but today I start making myself healthier. Will be posting my daily diet to keep myself accountable and on track. Have decided my digestive system needs a bit of a rest today as I literally feel like I've got a food hangover so nothing with any calories in it until dinner later which will be vegetable hash (mashed potato mixed with grated leftover vegetables like carrots, sprouts, onion etc. and made into little cakes which are shallow fried) with a side of broccoli. Will be having lots of green and herbal teas until then and actually looking forward to it. Good luck to everyone else starting on their health journey today xx

High and welcome, WallaCrag :)

You'll find that this forum is set up to enable community support, advice and encouragement, rather than individual blogging and to facilitate that, we run a Daily Diary for your proposed meal and exercise plans and a group weigh-in, to keep track of your weight. Just follow the links below to help you find everything :)

There's plenty of information here to help you on your journey, just follow this link to our chat thread and a list of all the activities we run. We've found active participation to be key to success, especially with our weigh-ins and Daily Diary.

Hi WallaCrag, welcome to this lovely community. You seem to have sussed out the best approach.

Following the Daily Diary and joining a weekly weigh in is far the best way to stay on track.

I love the sound of your menu, I suggest that you write it in today's Daily Diary. You will find it in the pinned posts, which are on the right of your page or at the bottom. Just click on the title and a new tab will open.

I found it very useful to read the Newbie info carefully and follow every link. I'm sure you will be able to find your way around this site quickly.

Good luck.🍀xx
