Going solo

Hi this is my third and final attempt to post on here I tried two times before but it wouldn’t accept my post. So here goes I haven’t posted in a while because I’m feeling overwhelmed at my new place and now I’m feeling over the edge it just doesn’t seems to get any better but within all this chaos I did manage to buy a bathroom scale and finally weighed myself after two months, and I have actually lost 10lbs. I’m shocked but have no one to tell because at my new place I haven’t made any new friends and I don’t have any family here either I’m all alone except for God. I do have my cat who’s my bff and he’s a great comfort to me. My goal is to lose another 5kbs and eventually go to school in January to get my degree, but I need a steady job where I’m not threatened. Trying to stay positive. Peace .

Hey there Midnightblue1, just passing through and wishing you good luck in your new place. This is my 3rd day, only I didn't post anything yesterday. I was told recently, that you are never alone, even if you feel like you are. Really pleased for you, that you have lost some weight. I have know idea your situation, but I am sure, that at the moment, you are safe. Animals can be the calm in your life, that another human cannot possibly really. They are sensitive souls and can pick up on your moods. Stroking your animals, can bring down blood pressure, so that will be good for you as well. One thing about this site, there is always some-one around who can answer you, which I find a blessing in disguise really. Hope we will hear you on here a lot more, and good luck in finding a really great job. :)

That's a lovely supportive reply Rosey. You don't need to post, just join in chatting to others on posts, join a weigh in team, have a chat about your day on What's Happening and think about using the Daily Diary to log your meal plans. That way, you'll get into conversation with others which will give you a boost, as you do for them.

I hope you've had time to read all the information you were given in your welcome from IndigoBlue, particularly about the importance of what we eat, not just how much.

Thats wonderful. Just stay with it... and most importantly don't go hungry .

Plan meals and snacks around proteins, colourful veg and natural fats eg: chicken, oily fish, eggs, full fat greek yoghurt, 30g cheese or nuts, they satisfy hunger for much longer than processed carbs.

Lots of tips and ideas on this site just take some time to find your way around . Good luck.
