Happy Wednesday to come

Yesterday was a very uplifting day for me to start off with. A colleague of mine brought in a delicious selection of cakes ... Victoria Sponge, Coffee and Walnut Gateau and Red Devil sponge cake. Do you know what? I wasn’t remotely interested in going beyond just looking at all the fat and sugar on the desk. So many colleagues grabbed slice after slice of them until only the crumbs were left.

I felt so driven towards my slimmer image I now want to go for and giving up these high fat and sugar laden cakes are the first things to be evicted from my taste buds.

Tomorrow morning being Happy Weds will be getting up early to go for my second run on W1R2. I am nervous as it will be in a local park although popular with dog walkers and fellow runners, so will be among fellow peers who love the exercise and on their own runs.

When I get home will then make my regular breakfast ... this consists of a chopped up small banana, porridge and raisins. If I want my porridge sweetened I have a small spoonful of Hermesetas mixed in.

Then my healthier lifestyle continues on Friday with an early morning run or gentle jog for W1R3.

I feel that I am winning ... resisting those cakes was just the first step in the next 9 weeks.

Will look forward to reading all your posts. Have a lovely day.

Hello Chataholic,

Well done for viewing those cakes in a really positive fashion, just a pile of sugar and fat. They never taste as good as they look when your on a weight loss journey and are full of empty calories :)

Your post sounds very positive and you sound motivated. I am sure tomorrow's run will be fine, you will be amongst like minded people :)

Wishing you all the best :)
