Hi Shaun, welcome to the forum. I too am a keen cyclist - my husband and I even rode across the Pyrenees last summer, and still I am overweight! I've been a cyclist all my life and it doesn't seem to shift the weight (but it does keep me fit and happy!). Since August I've been cycling less and running more, and I've seen changes in my body but again, not a lot of weight loss. The last seven weeks I've been counting calories, and keeping at my calorie allowance per day, and I'm finally losing weight. I have always eaten healthy, I just eat smaller portions now, eat less between meals, and less generous with the oil/butter! Hope this helps you - good luck!
What's your BMI? Do you know how much you need to lose to be in a healthy range? Have you worked out your calorie allowance? If you need any help be sure to ask 😃
Come cycling on Dartmoor; the hills are a huge calorie burner! We frequently pass cyclists when driving about, and I have yet to see a plump one... Come to think of it, maybe I should put some air in my rusty old bike's tyres and get out pedalling! At least it keeps you out of the kitchen and away from temptation...
