I have to lose 2 stone and have made a good start losing 7 lbs but seem to have hit a barrier and the scales refuse to move. I normally miss breakfast but have decided to try porridge. I don't use milk but do need to sweeten it . Any suggestions?

Well done with losing 7lbs that is great going. My advice to you is please try not to skip your breakfast as it is an important meal. Try adding some berries to your porridge to make it sweeter.

Hi Boropete when it comes to porridge I am a true Scot - just water and a pinch of salt. If you need it be sweetened use berries. Good luck and always eat breakfast.
I add 15ml of maple syrup or honey. I think I've seen some detrimental posts here about maple syrup (or it was my imagination). I also add a variety of fruit.
