You're panicking too soon, Dog, you've only been following the plan for 4 days and half a pound is probably just a normal variance in your weight. It's OK to weigh yourself daily, but don't expect to see a real difference for at least a week
Have a lovely day tomorrow and remember this is a new healthy lifestyle that you're embarking on, so high days and holidays are all part of that
Don't upset yourself. It can take time for weight to start coming off. It took me 5 weeks. Please don't even consider staying away from happy family events. Just choose your meal carefully and even if you do go over tomorrow is another day. Enjoy celebrating with your dad and family.👍
What you can do if eating out is see if the restaurant has a website and if so look at their menu and see if you can roughly work out the calorific intake and go for the lighter options. You can look at the NHS 12 week weight loss plan which is what I am on and it has guidance on various things0 exercise, alcohol, snacks and eating out- loo at week 7 and it gives you some tips to help with coping with eating out. I also tend to eat smaller portions for the other meals on the day of eating out just so I can have more calories at the restaurante without worrying too much about the calories. Its a special occassion so enjoy and accept that yes you will be eating more than you should but just get back o track tomorrow.
Have a good time with your family this evening
