Welcome to the weight loss forum.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Have a look at the Daily Diary which you can find on the Home page in Events. It is where all the members are sharing their daily plans on what they are eating and any exercise they are doing. This thread will give you some ideas on how to start.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

You have found the best place to lose weight and have fun😂

There's a lot of us who have a lot of weight to lose, so don't worry you are in good company, we help, support and motivate each other, the Admins are wonderful, we have support from them and many maintainers, there's lots of people with knowledge and advice whatever you need to know so relax and join in😀

Stay active on the forum it really does make a difference, join a challenge, weigh in, the daily diary is fantastic for help, support and great ideas, ask questions, chat or just read the posts it will help😃

Healthy eating with your generous allowance from the bmi calculator is how I'm doing it, I haven't banned any food but I do stick within my allowance, I don't exercise (I hate exercise) but I'm having fun, swimming, cycling, walking and the granddaughters favourite kitchen disco (dancing) 👣

Most importantly enjoy what you are doing😆, you can do this💪

Hi, welcome! If you have lots of weight to lose then you will be able to see a big difference as you do it. You will feel so much better. Good luck, be determined and make permanent changes that can be sustained. 🤞

Welcome to the forum. I am losing weight for my wedding despite the fact that my fiancé and I haven't set a date for our wedding yet. I am currently following Slimming World but weighing in at my mum's house instead of going to the meetings because I am in the process of moving and saving for my wedding. I have lost 7 1/2lbs in the last 5 weeks. I love the forum and I appreciate the support that I get from other forum members as well as family and friends.
