Good day hoor2 and welcome. Sorry to hear about the liver problem

but you've arrived at a useful site full of very friendly and helpful people.

Later one of the admins will supply you with a lot of useful information for you to consider and one of the items they mention is the NHS 12 week weight loss plan which a number of people here are following. I'm still pretty much a newbie here but I've made it to my 7th week and it's definitely helped me.

Wishing you all the best.

Hi hoor2, I would advise reading a book by Dr. Michael Mosley called 'The 8-Week Blood Sugar Diet'. The diet was devised specifically for people who had high blood sugars but apparently the diet also burns off fat from your liver, too. It's an excellent read. I believe I've seen on this forum that there is at least one other person following that diet so hopefully someone else will reply in a similar vein to offer you support.

Hi, it seems you can get rid of fatty liver. I've done it. The first place to start is making a good plan.

1. Check your cupboards and throw out/ donate processed and fatty foods.

2. Time to make a lifestyle change from now on only consume good fats, eat a balanced diet and keep your sugar intake low.

3. Eat breakfast of protein, oats, milk or milk substitute fortified with vitamin d.

4. Drink at least seven glasses of water a day, make it your go to drink. It helps cleanse your body and make you more alert, helps clear the brain fog often associated with having a sluggish liver.

5. Check with Dr which medications you really need to take and if there are any you could have changed or stopped which may be otherwise effecting your lfts.

Above all be in control of your body and when you have a hard day look yo the future and what you're doing this for... You will feel healthier.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members here have had success losing weight on this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start along with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weight ins so why not come and join us. You can find them on the Home page in Events. Just click on the post and post your starting weight, your aim for the week and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most out of the forum be active, share experiences, tips and ideas. Read some of the posts they are good for inspiration and very motivating.
