Hi Mack!
My biggest piece of advice is to make sure you eat enough! Strange eh? You'd think I would say the opposite. But seriously, I nearly lost the plot at the beginning because I thought I could only have 1400 cals a day, but as I had to shed a whopping 9 stone, I could have many more than that - loads more!
I wrote an article on here about how eating enough helps and it is here: healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
My other piece of advice is to join in with the challenges on here, just wander around the forum and find the challenges, they are pinned on the right - then jump right in, they are a great way to keep you motivated.
Above all, have fun - this need not be torture, it is something we need to be able to maintain for the rest of our healthy lives, so lets enjoy the journey!
Hi, don't think of it as a 'diet' that you have to stick to, but as a new healthier way of eating. It's a lifestyle change so has to be sustainable, don't beat yourself up if you slip up now and then, just weigh everything, record everything and it will get easier once you see the pounds disappearing. Good luck!
My advice would be if you fall off the wagon, don't beat yourself up. Just get back on the following day (or as soon as you know that you have lapsed). Good luck!
