Hi, I'm new on here and hoping to get inspiration to getting my head round losing at least 3 stone. I'm almost 70 and haven't been very mobile for about 3 years now. I'm finding actually sticking to eating sensibly for very long.

Hello! Good luck on your weight loss journey, I hope it brings you good health and makes you happier. I'm trying to make life long changes, instead of thinking of it as a 'diet'. I hope it works as I don't want to get any bigger and I want to be healthier. Once again, good luck!
Hello mustdo
Weight loss is more about eating than exercise so I wouldn't worry about not moving much 😊 As the weight comes off you will see a difference anyway.
Good luck with the plan, proper food just sensible portions 😊 Remember to keep us posted 😊
Hi and welcome to the forum. You have come to the right place. I am 76 in a few weeks and like you not very mobile. I stick to calorie counting using the NHS recommended range which I find not onerous at all. My weight loss is not rapid but after a slow start , steady. As for exercise I have found a DVD based on ballroom dance which is all done sitting in a chair. You can do as much or as little as you like but it gives you a bit of a workout and is fun. There are other seated exercise DVDs on Amazon, to choose from and " walk at home " videos on U tube. Good luck. You will get lots of support and encouragement here as you log your progress and concerns.
Hi, I have joined a chair exercise for arthritis group and am enjoying that. Having fun at the same time helps too. I'm certainly finding all the tips on here very helpful. I really don't mind how long it takes to lose it as long as lbs come off, it just has to make life easier.
