What a difference a stone makes.....

I keep humming this to myself to the tune of "What a difference a day makes" (although only "oldies" like me will probably even know this song) because I've hit my first stone and boy has it made a difference.  I can now get into clothes that wouldn't go near me a couple of months ago and others are way too big.  I also feel so much better in myself and haven't had an arthritis flare up for ages.  Getting old certainly isn't for wimps although in my head I've never got older than 21!  Progress is slow - 1lb a week compared to when I was younger but who cares - at least I didn't give up after a couple of days which I put down to joining the forum.  So thank you all - you've made such a difference and even making sure I write a post once a week has spurred me on.  I am now 13st. 1lb and want to lose at least another stone and then see how I feel.  I'll still be overweight but I've accepted I'll never be skinny - I just want to be healthy and feel good about myself.

What an achievement. .well done.  I hope you feel very proud of yourself and are an inspiration to the rest of us. I've just started and can't wait to say I have lost a stone. None of my clothes fit..Can't wait until they do. Thank you  for sharing

Congratulations on losing a stone!!!  That is fantastic!!!  You're making fantastic progress, and you're close to the 12's now.  Great that you've not had an arthritis flare-up for ages too, that's really good!
