One day at a time. Set small goals. If you fall off the bus get straight back on. Get a buddy.

Hope that helps x

Hi Sally, you've come to the right place. First thing to do is to make sure you don't go hungry otherwise you'll quickly tire and lose your resolve. Try to identify when and why you eat unhealthy foods so you can combat these tendencies. Are you on any kind of plan? If not, the NHS 12 week plan is a good place to start, and the Myfitnesspal app will help you keep track. Keep coming back to this forum, read about others' experiences and post yourself to help you keep accountable.

Good luck!

I find planning is key. Think ahead , so if you know a social event is coming save up calories for it. Adjust your day. Have a lighter low carb, higher protein breakfast if you know carbs are going to be on the agenda later in the day.

Use an app like myfitnesspal and log everything. More than once I have input the data and realised that I need to cut the portion size or change my choice...It is easy with the barcode scanner.

Come hre often for support encouragement and inspiration.

Really being mindful of my goal to get healthier helps me make good choices. " Is eating this eorthbit? Isvit going to helpme get healthier?

Really commit yo health. Nothing is banned but you need to plan in your treats

Hey Rome wasn't built in a day. Be a bit kinder to yourself and believe that you can do it.

The 12 week plan is fab and really helps to focus on making small short steps which do work.

Plan all your meals for the week even your snacks. Look at what might stop you in the week and think in advance what you will do to manage the situation.

If you think about what might stop you, it will be easier to be in control and this helps lessen the chance of failure.

Have a fantastic start and a wonderful week.
