So far so good - I had a special tea today but because I had planned for it, it went very well and I had one small thing. Planning will be very important for me I think. I hope it is going well for everyone. Early days yet!

Hi, I started on Monday and beforehand I just looked at a lot of the literature on the nhs website, used the bmi calculator and printed out the 12 werk plan. Iv been substituting my unhealthy snacks with fruit, drinking more water and weighing my foods to control my portions. Hopefully this is of some help. Good luck!
I did think about the challenge of Christmas; I would be ok if i weren't going to be at my in-laws as they don't do well with either healthy options or refusal to eat large amounts! But I decided to plunge in and do my best. It's really important for me to learn to deal with situations where I am not in control of my options as I tend to want to do things perfectly or not at all - so I used to give up. I printed out all 12 weeks of the plan as Sinead did and highlighted the bits that were most important to me. I keep reminding myself that my portions before were not normal, and I am trying to listen to my stomach more and notice that I DO feel quite full after less food. Also to accept that it is normal and ok to feel slightly hungry - before I ate so often that I rarely felt hungry and panicked when I did. I hope that is of some help

Hey, glad things are going well for you, I had an unplanned meal out on Monday due to my partners sister visiting from America. Managed to record my calories though and turn down dessert! So hoping it shouldn't effect my week. Keep going strong
