Help with weight loss

Hi all, I've lost about a stone this past 3 months, I need to lose about another stone. The weight I've lost has all been from the waist down. Any suggestions as to how I can lose if from the waist up?? I have back problems which restrict many types of exercise. Walking, slowly, being my limit. I also have any under active thyroid.

Maybe try some light weights to strengthen the muscles, people don't often think that lifting weights will help with weight loss, they are right to some extent because gaining muscle mass will look as weight gain but will be fat burning. Many benefits :)

Unfortunately, your body decides where to deposit and lose fat stores from. I'm the same. I'm at my goal weight and 14 on top, 12 on bottom. However you can tone those stubborn areas, lifting heavy will tone up your arms, belly and breast muscle. You will lose fat from your upper half eventually..Good luck...

Exercise at a moderate to vigorous pace at least five days each week. Running, jogging, swimming, cycling, rowing, dancing and aerobics burn calories quickly and help you lose weight. Lift weights and try working at a level at which you can do 8 to 12 reps before your muscles become fatigued. Do pushups, tricep dips and multiple reps with low weights. Increase the length or intensity of your workouts as your fitness level improves. Cardio exercise combined with strength training and healthy eating can help you lose upper body weight, along with lower body weight, and achieve a more toned body.

Spend more of each day burning fat than you do storing it, and over time, you'll bury your belly forever. The best way to slim down in the middle is to do plenty of cardiovascular exercise. Some good examples of this are:

walking

jogging

swimming

aerobics

bicycling

Toning along with cardiovascular work will speed up and improve the process.
