I think you need to treat it like sugar and use it sparingly. It's a bit sweeter than sugar, so you wouldn't need as much. Can you check with the Diabetic nurse?

It has a high glycaemic index. However, you can team it up with things that have a low glycaemic index, e.g. oats in porridge and it should be ok as the sugar is absorbed more slowly into the blood stream. If you have a sugar testing kit, I would try it and then test an hour afterwards. The medication he takes should also counteract the sugar in honey. I hope that helps.

You should treat honey just like sugar, whatever recommendations your husband has about sugar will also apply to honey.

they say you should eat 7 types of veg and fruit a day what they dont tell you certain fruits are quite high in sugar ie oranges ,kiwi fruit,grapes,melon
